Discussion Forum for courses in the

Department of Biological, Geological,

and Environmental Sciences


The Department hosts a number of discussion forums intended to enable students in its courses to communicate with each other and share ideas, feelings, problems, etc. When you enter one of the discussion forums,you will be presented with a page that indexes the submissions of everybody so far. Each submission has a title, on which you can click.  There are also 4 buttons, of which you need worry only about the "Post" button.

To read somebody's submission: Click on the title you wish to see. The message will appear.

To post a NEW observation: Click on the "Post" button from the main page.  This will open the "compose" window. Be sure to fill in all information requested on the form. Your message will be sent to the forum.

To RESPOND to or to REACT to somebody else's observation: Click on the "Post" button from within the message to which you wish to respond. This will bring up a window with information about that message. Click on the "Post Response" button. Again, be sure to fill in all of the information requested on the form. Your message will be sent to the forum, linked to the message to which you are responding.
